OUR FOUNDER
Maria is passionate about uniting technology, philanthropy, and social good to solve critical issues. As a second-generation Korean-American, Maria’s life work has been centered on developing education and economic opportunities for women and people of color to thrive in a global economy. Maria is a strategist, fundraiser, and marketer who has raised nearly $200M through corporations, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional funders such as Gates Foundation, Google, and Reid Hoffman for organizations including All Raise, Pledge 1%, Code.org, Sesame Workshop, UNICEF, and Khan Academy. Maria also helped build global campaigns like the Cannes Titanium award-winning UNICEF Tap Project, a global clean water campaign, and the Hour of Code, reaching over 200M globally. Maria has built partnerships with hundreds of brands and organizations, including Kapor Center, Disney, AT&T, NFL, Facebook, Amazon, Accenture, and Giorgio Armani Fragrances.
